The Christmas title

Working on unrelated custom work, I had an urge to draw this Christmas title. Since I work as I am inspired, out came the pencils. Then sketched the draft, made a digital version and started working on creating a svg cutter file. Once I cut the file, it was begging for glitter.

The cutter file is available for sale for $2.00 and the digital image above is free for my digital scrapbooking friends. Cutter file is in svg and will not have the dots in the letters so that it can be reduce to a smaller size. You can always add these in if you like them.

Kiss Under the Mistletoe

Why do we kiss when we're standing underneath some shrubbery? It is believed that a couple kissing under the mistletoe ensure themselves of marriage and a long, happy life.
The correct mistletoe etiquette is for the man to remove one berry when he kisses a woman. When all the berries are gone, there's no more kissing permitted underneath that plant.

What better way than to make a card using this layered holly branch.

It's intended to be cut in two reds for berries to be layered using pop dots for dimension,  brown for steam, green for leaves, which I think will look nicer with added a crease or chalk for center steam of leaf. Maybe add a glitter to sparkle it up. Those are my thoughts and ideas anyways.

The greenery cutter file nursery

Do digital green thumbs count?  My desktop looks like a greenery nursery with all the cutter files I am designing for the eri-doodle blog. This pine branch is available as a SVG cutter file and can be re-sized without losing quality.

Everyone needs a little green... branch

I just love the versatility branches offer to a layout. This SVG juniper branch was a "must create". Over the next week I will be offering more varieties to pile on for a gorgeous greenery spray. With an SVG you can resize and combine for interest.

Traditional Christmas Lights

How quickly the holiday season came and went. Didn't even have a chance to put up any Christmas lights, but from the looks of it, others didn't seem to either. Can't use the excuse that the weather was awful this year as it's has been beautiful out. At least I can offer some lights to download. These traditional light are in yellow, blue, red, green and the hard to find in clipart orange. Use them in digital scrapbook pages or be brave enough and cut them out. I often will place an image on a background I wish to use, then print it. These are great as they are large enough to span a full 12 X 12 page. I'm am quite sure you haven't finished your Christmas pages just yet.

Make a paper Christmas Flower

Paper Poinsettia Flower

 Thought I would try my hand at designing a paper poinsettia. I think my results came out quite well. I used the eri-doodle poinsettia template I have included on this blog for free and cut it out of red and green vellum. I creased each petal and leaf down the center. Cut a small slit in center and secured the petals with a brad. Next I spritzed the flower with with my homemade counterfeit glimmer mist. (Check earlier blog for recipe) This made the paper curl a bit giving it a more natural look. Finished it by gluing three yellow beads to center. I didn't actually have yellow beads in my stock, but I did have white pearl color ones that I colored with a yellow Sharpie.
