Alice in Wonderland love

It's been quite a special summer with my girls expanding into our artistic talents. Jennifer, my oldest daughter is visiting and that means time to  dig into my drawing stash. We experimented with new Copic Markers and water color pencils. How did I live without them before? They are yummy.
With my new found love, I made opportunity to try out drawing on old book pages. Here is my Alice in Wonderland. Can't wait to design more.

Looking back with a laugh

Some frustrations in life should be scrapbooked. You know those wonderfully loud toys the kids got at Christmas that the batteries just wont run down in. Perhaps it's the burgers that became charcoal on the grill during a summer cookout. Maybe it's taking your 15-year-old out to practice driving for the first time. All wonderful memories to hold dear to and later laugh at.
Here is a guy at his wits end. Another Eri-doodle freebies to right mouse click on and save.  He is about 6 inches in height with a transparent background.

Do a little journal

Can't say the documenting events on my scrapbooking pages is something I am great at. Some of my pages display holes waiting for the stories to be told. It's not that I dislike writing, I just can't seem to do it while I design.

This image started out as a little notebook I had to write down ideas. As you can see I went straight into doodling mode. Nothing lost. I scanned it in for future use as a journal block. It will contrast great on a colored background. Got to love transparent backgrounds. :)

Even small good ideas need to take flight

Even good small ideas need to take flight

We all have good ideas from time to time. The only way to see if an idea is a great one is to allow it to take flight. You can't succeed if you don't try.

A family of doodlers

I come a family of doodlers.

While going thru some old photos and such at my parents home, I came across this great find. It is one of my mothers doodles of flowers on the back of a card envelope. I vaguely remember her drawing this when I was about 4 years old. I have fond memories of watching my mothers attempt at oil painting. The paintings being long gone now. Upon finding this, I quickly snatched it up and admired it before scanning it along with the mounds of old photos.
Thinking about how to use this in scrapbooking, I've decided to create a page of my mothers many talents maybe with a Victorian motif.
